News on Haringey Council SEND Bandings Consultation

Thank you to everyone who participated in the SEND Bandings consultation, whether by attending an online or in-person event or completing the survey. Your feedback has been instrumental in shaping the revised Bandings to better serve the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities in Haringey.

You can view the new Banding descriptors by downloading the PDF below. The changes in red reflect the advice and feedback you provided during the consultation.

The new Bandings will come into place in September 2024. 

This change will not affect your child’s education. Any changes to education provision in an Education, Health, and Care plan (EHCP) can only be made via an Annual Review of the EHCP.

Please get in touch with your child’s school if you have any questions or concerns about their education.
